Watching Movies

Films are ruined daily by advertising and hype is their big, blood-letting knife. I stopped buying film magazines for over 10 years the day I accidentally saw a film called Fight Club, without knowing anything about it.

There are rules to watching movies. I’m not just talking about watching them in a proper environment (I never watch movies on the computer while doing other things, for example). There are also rules to preparing yourself to watch a movie.

Hörst Rebrands

It’s barely three weeks into the new year and already I think we’re seeing what will surely be one of the best brand redesigns of 2012. I’m unfamiliar with Hörst Dusseldorf, as I dress like a rich hobo, but if I know anything about upscale men’s clothing, I think they’ve hit the mark perfectly.

Armin Vit:

The old logo was a joke of triple-extended proportions. Why anyone would design such a thing or any client accept it is almost inconceivable. So anything new would be an improvement. And, boy, is this new identity an improvement.

It’s THAT time of year

Yes, yes. It’s the holidays. Which means that the internet is full of those saying how much they hate Christmas, or those posting photos of their recently decorated tree.

If you’re not feeling “in to it” this year, I thought I’d take the opportunity to post a handful of videos and links to help you get into the Christmas spirit.

Videos to get you in the Holiday spirit

UPDATE: I previously somehow forgot the craziest, hardest to explain and flummoxing Christmas video ever made: Bob Dylan’s “Must Be Santa”.
